Job description

Job Title

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide sales support via customer meetings, Zoom Calls and in person meetings to identify solutions to customer questions. Assisting with all carrier portals and data entry for RFP's.
  • Work with Engineering and Pricing Desk to understand all build costs, equipment costs and all other quote variables.
  • Assist in research, evaluation and launch of new products or services.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining key network records NNI/EVC records, customer circuit / tower inventory, customer diagrams and any customer communication. Keeping all documents and communication updated in Sales Force.
  • Supports the sales organization as the technical subject matter expert. Support may include attending sales calls, delivering technical portions of the sales presentation, explaining why the proposed solution is the right one, and negotiating technical aspects of the contract or proposal.
  • Coordinates internal technical resources necessary to develop sales proposals and sales presentations.
  • Provides technical assistance to customers, sales team members, project managers and Director of Business Development.
  • Serves as technical expert on AUREON products and services.
  • Provide the sales team with technical solutions for customers.
  • Assist sales team with technical presentations to current and potential customers.
  • Design viable complex layer 0-3 data network sales solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies, technical specifications, etc.
  • Translate and communicates complex technical design considerations between the sales team and prospective customers on sales calls and appointments.
  • Develop documentation to be reported to all levels of management and customers.
  • Assist with the support and training related to internal hardware/software systems.
  • Work with customers and their vendors to obtain technical information needed to support clean orders through provisioning and installation process.
  • Assist with GIS mapping of AUREON's backbone and/or distribution networks.
  • Improve personal skill set through ongoing training.
  • Maintain professional attitude and appearance.
  • Foster good working relationships with all team members and staff.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.

COMMUNICATION:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a telecommunications carrier environment
  • Applicant must hold a valid state driver's license.
  • Complete understanding of layer 0-3 carrier services marketplace and related technologies.
  • Firm grasp of Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards and nomenclature.
  • Familiarity with SONET & TDM based services.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be given adequate consideration.
  • MEF, CECP, CCNA, Comp TIA, ITIL, MCSE certification preferred.
