What is a Technical Manager?

The Technical Manager is responsible for leading technical operations, including product development support, process optimization, and technical problem-solving across manufacturing and customer applications. This role serves as a key liaison between R&D, Production, Quality, and Sales, ensuring technical excellence in both internal processes and external customer support. The position plays a critical role in driving innovation, improving product performance, and supporting business growth.

What You Can Expect to Do as a Technical Manager:

  • Lead technical initiatives related to product performance, process optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Support product development and scale-up activities in collaboration with R&D teams
  • Provide technical expertise to Production, Quality, and Sales teams

What We Are Looking For in a Technical Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7–10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, technical service, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of resins, gel coats, or composite materials preferred
  • Experience in product development, process optimization, or technical support
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams or initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
