What are your contributions to the team?
  • Lead the technical execution of assigned Bombardier Defense programs and serve as the principal technical integrator across work packages, engineering disciplines, suppliers, and the IPDT.
  • Maintain technical integrity of engineering proposals, platform architecture, design solutions, and key technical decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Establish, develop, validate, and maintain project-level technical requirements, including Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) and other aircraft-level technical definition documents.
  • Translate customer, program, and business needs into clear and achievable technical requirements and validate that proposed solutions are technically feasible, supportable, and compliant.
  • Provide oversight for technical gate reviews and technical maturity activities, including SRR, PDR, CDR, test readiness, and related review forums.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and integration issues that could affect safety, compliance, performance, schedule, or cost.
  • Develop and drive mitigation, recovery, and resolution plans for technical issues, supplier performance concerns, and program integration challenges.
  • Direct and coordinate the technical activities of applicable suppliers and support supplier selection, technical evaluation, technical ranking, and ongoing supplier technical management.
  • Coordinate cross-work-package and cross-discipline design integration to ensure consistency, compatibility, and alignment of the overall product solution.
  • Support certification, airworthiness, compliance planning, and regulator-facing activities for assigned programs, including coordination with applicable internal airworthiness and certification stakeholders.
  • Support continued airworthiness, technical upkeep, in-service design evolution, and review of defense modifications, maintenance procedures, and operational procedures as required.
  • Chair or co-chair technical review activities and technical change management forums, and serve as a lead technical decision maker in assigned technical review boards.
  • Serve as the primary internal and external technical point of contact for design, development, technical issues, risks, and technical integration matters related to the assigned program.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred where applicable.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technical teams and integrating work across multiple engineering disciplines and supplier organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of technical requirements development, design reviews, engineering change management, technical risk management, and product lifecycle considerations.
  • Experience supporting certification planning, compliance activities, airworthiness coordination, and regulator interactions in a highly regulated aerospace environment preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions, influence decisions, and present effectively at working and executive levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical performance, customer commitments, schedule, cost, and compliance requirements in a program environment.
  • Able to work on ITAR programs.
