Job Description Tax Operations - Tax Documentation Analyst Location: Salt Lake City, UT Contract: 6 Months Pay Rate: $23/hour Schedule: 50+ hours per week; significant overtime may be required based on business needs Education: Bachelor's degree required Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Documentation Analyst to support Tax Operations in Salt Lake City. This team is responsible for helping maintain the firm's compliance with global tax reporting and documentation requirements across Global Banking & Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and other business areas. The Analyst will primarily review client tax documentation, resolve documentation exceptions, respond to tax-related inquiries, and support internal teams and clients with documentation and withholding requirements.

Key Responsibilities Review and validate client tax documentation, including W-9, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, and W-8IMY forms Ensure client accounts are properly documented to support accurate tax withholding and reporting Research and respond to client documentation inquiries based on applicable regulations and account circumstances Provide tax-related operational support to Investment Professionals, Client Service teams, and clients Investigate and resolve documentation breaks, exceptions, and discrepancies Analyze data and workflows to identify potential risks or documentation issues Escalate complex or potentially high-risk issues to management Collaborate across teams to complete high-volume, time-sensitive work accurately Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree 1+ years of experience in Operations, Tax, Accounting, Audit, Financial Services, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability Ability to identify potential risks and appropriately escalate concerns Ability to learn complex processes and regulations quickly Flexibility to work 50+ hours per week, including additional overtime based on business demand Preferred Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline Experience reviewing W-9 and W-8 series tax forms Experience with client onboarding or Know Your Client (KYC) processes Financial services or banking operations experience Experience with SQL and/or Alteryx
