Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking a Tax Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a core member of the Corporate Tax Department, supporting the department's reporting requirements, budgetary processes and administrative needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, communication and software skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the preparation of tax-related schedules and reports, and other departmental deliverables.
  • Support the maintenance of tax software and data files through preparation of analytic reports, including tax calendars and tax compliance or provision datasets.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Tax Department budget, including monitoring variances. 
  • Match external invoices to statements of work and enter data into applicable systems to process payments.
  • Compile, monitor and submit expense reports for the Tax Department.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and organization of Tax Department's off-site records.
  • Coordinate with internal and external functions to support Tax Department operations, including Security, Facilities, IT, external consultants, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with security-related requirements, including badging requests and submission of required background information as necessary.
  • Identify potential gaps in requests or processes, or deliverables and proactively help address Tax Department needs.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, processes, systems, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in tax, finance, accounting, or administrative operations. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and/or tax concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic financial documents, bookkeeping records and budget or forecast reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, basic data reconciliation, working with large datasets, supported by use of formulas (SUM, IF, VLOOKUPs), sorting, filtering, formatting, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships.
  • Experience in an office, clerical, finance, accounting or customer service setting.
  • Experience supporting a tax, finance, or accounting function.
  • Experience with invoice processing, expense reporting, or budget tracking.
  • Experience working with financial, reporting, or tax-related software.
