As a Tax Operations Coordinator, you will contribute significantly to the company's success by providing essential administrative support to the Tax team. In this role, you will utilize your project management and organizational skills to create efficiencies, streamline compliance and tax operations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization and problem-solving, has an interest in tax, technology, and accounting, and wants to grow their career within an innovative technology company.
What you'll do as a Tax Operations Coordinator
  • Collaborate with compliance, licensing, legal, and accounting teams, as well as external consultants, to navigate tax-related challenges and resolve inquiries effectively.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Monitor deadlines and filing requirements to ensure timely completion of tax engagements.
  • Communicate proactively with state and federal agencies through various channels to achieve timely and accurate results.
  • Coordinate signatures, payments, and tax return filings.
  • Lead complex projects from start to finish, including the development and maintenance of a comprehensive system for tracking and managing tax-related correspondence.
  • Oversee the management of annual business licenses and compliance filings, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and easy access for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, managing communications with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Translate Tax team needs into clear requirements for dashboards, tools, reports, and process improvements.
  • Test, document, and support the adoption of new tax technology tools and automated workflows.

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Technology, Project Management, Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in a compliance, finance, or tax environment; prior experience with project management is a plus.
  • Well-organized and strong attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, often under challenging time constraints.
  • A strong interest in tax technology, artificial intelligence, workflow automation, data visualization, and process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently as part of a fast-growing team.
  • An eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment and confidently work with others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 61,600.00 USD - 77,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
