Position Purpose
The Tax Operations Assistant helps ensure the office operates smoothly, professionally, and efficiently. This role supports daily operations, client service, tax preparation, administrative coordination, and workflow management while reducing the owner's day-to-day operational burden so leadership can focus on strategic growth and community impact.

Primary Responsibilities
·    Support daily office operations and workflow.
·    Deliver exceptional client service in person and by phone.
·    Prepare accurate individual tax returns when needed.
·    Maintain organized office systems, records, and supplies.
·    Coordinate scheduling and operational readiness.
·    Assist with local marketing and community outreach.
·    Monitor workflow and help resolve operational issues.
·    Protect confidential client information.
·    Support office coverage when leadership is unavailable.

Preferred Qualifications
·    Experience preparing individual and business income tax returns.
·    PTIN or ability to obtain one.
·    Office administration, operations, banking, hospitality, retail, medical office, or similar experience.
·    Strong written and verbal communication.
·    Comfortable learning new software and technology.
·    Demonstrated reliability and initiative.
ScheduleÂ
• Part-time (approximately 8–10 hours per week) during the training period.
 • Office hours expected to expand from approximately 8 hours to 16–20 hours per week as operational capacity grows.
 • Expected transition to full-time beginning December 28, 2026, based on performance and business needs.
Compensation
Starting compensation is $16.00 per hour, plus performance-based incentives. Opportunities for pay increases and advancement are based on demonstrated reliability, training progress, performance, and expanded responsibilities.
