Job description

Help shape how a critical tax operations function delivers accurate, timely, and well-controlled outcomes. You will lead programs that translate complex requirements into practical execution plans and sustainable processes. Join a collaborative environment that values strong governance, clear communication, and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support operational integrity and regulatory readiness.

As a Vice President Project Manager in Client Tax Operations team, you will lead regulatory and strategic programs end to end-turning complex tax requirements into actionable roadmaps, modernizing processes and controls, and delivering audit-ready results. You will drive cross-functional execution, governance discipline, data quality, and on-time delivery across withholding, documentation, and reporting activities.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of tax operations initiatives, including scope, roadmap, budget, and governance to achieve on-time and within-budget outcomes
  • Build and maintain a dependency-driven project plan with milestones, resourcing, and delivery metrics; keep plans current and execution transparent
  • Facilitate working group meetings by setting agendas, driving decisions, documenting actions and owners with due dates, and escalating issues through governance when needed
  • Design and implement target operating models and re-engineered processes, embedding controls, service level agreements, and key performance indicators to support accurate withholding, documentation, and reporting
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies; enforce change control; maintain audit evidence and readiness for internal controls over financial reporting and other applicable control requirements
  • Drive stakeholder communications and change management by preparing governance updates and ensuring standard operating procedures are developed and adopted
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within financial services, with a focus on tax operations
  • Working knowledge of U.S. tax withholding and reporting requirements (e.g., Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Nonresident Alien (NRA), backup withholding, Forms 1099 and 1042-S)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through closure
  • Understanding of tax operations controls, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for AI and automation integration within operational workflows, including experience evaluating, implementing, or governing AI-driven solutions to achieve scalable process improvements and strategic objectives
