Job Summary:
Acrisure is seeking an Finance Systems Analyst to join our team in Grand Rapids.In this role, you will participate in the design and implementation of scalable finance system solutions across our growing portfolio of business units focused mainly on Workday. This is a hands-on solution architect role, critical to how financial data is structured, integrated, and processed across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute data extraction and normalization from various sources and fragmented systems, ensuring data is ready for enterprise-level integration.

  • Utilize Power Query and advanced Excel functions to transform large, complex datasets for system ingestion and automation.

  • Perform initial mapping and alignment of legacy financial dimensions to the enterprise Foundation Data Model (FDM), investigating and resolving preliminary data gaps.

  • Support system validation and testing phases by reconciling system outputs against source documentation to ensure audit-readiness and data accuracy.

  • Investigate and document data discrepancies, performing detailed analysis to support resolution of balance mismatches and mapping errors.

  • Provide day-to-day functional support to business users during post-implementation phases, including assistance with workflows, navigation, reporting and data entry requirements.

  • Develop and maintain reusable data transformation tools and desktop automations to streamline recurring migration tasks and improve team efficiency.

  • Make independent decisions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a mandatory requirement for hands-on experience using Power Query or similar tools to transform and model large datasets.

  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles, including a working knowledge of general ledger structures, trial balances, and debits/credits.

  • Demonstrated analytical and "investigative" skills, with the ability to identify data anomalies and perform root-cause analysis on discrepancies.

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and to communicate technical data concepts to both technical teams and business users

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities while producing meaningful deliverables and meeting deadlines

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize daily responsibilities and projects

  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, clear insights for business partners

Education and Experience:
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data-heavy finance, accounting, or systems analyst role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field.

  • Experience working with fragmented data sources or managing data migration activities within a multi-entity environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Workday consultant or in a Workday-heavy transformation environment.

  • Experience with financial services or insurance accounting
