Job Summary: Trinity Health is a healthcare organization focused on delivering compassionate care. They are seeking an ITSM Software Asset Manager who will plan and implement asset management programs to support the lifecycle management of IT software assets, ensuring compliance and optimizing resources. Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops, and implements Asset Management programs to support hardware and software lifecycle Management and IT Software Asset chain-ofโ€“custody requirements.
  • Provides program leadership and direction to ensure IT Software Asset Management processes, policies, and procedures are in place to meet regulatory, operational, legal, audit and reporting requirements related to Software Asset Management.
  • Works with Risk Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement and IT to manage the contractual, financial and vendor relationships to support the Trinity Health IT Software Asset portfolio.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle Management of all Software IT assets/CI's contained within the ITSM eCMS and Software Asset Management databases.
  • Responsible for Application Portfolio Management within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensures accurate and complete accounting of both hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for tracking assets and explores opportunities for maximizing unused or partially used assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI from company resources.
  • Ensures legal compliance with software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts by validating licenses against installed software to mitigate liability as the result of an audit.
  • Analyzes hardware warranties, maintenance agreements, vendor contracts, upgrades, repair, and replacement contracts to make recommendations to appropriate TIS management on effective use of IT software maintenance budgets.
  • Participates in the review of the purchase of new hardware or software, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders by determining usage rights, ROI and total cost of ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitors and analyzes trends in spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future and to identify areas for possible cost savings and/or asset optimization.
  • Ensures that inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets are conducted with Trinity Health security policies.
  • Researches industry best practices and compares against organizations' practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets.
  • Communicates IT Software Asset Management strategies to team members and stakeholders in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Manages vendor audits related to IT software assets, including collecting software asset inventory data and facilitating meetings with vendors, appropriate internal departments and senior leaderships.
  • Performs management responsibilities including annual evaluations, hiring, coaching and mentoring.
  • Participates in ITSM Change Advisory Board (CAB) as needed.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior. Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain and a minimum of 5 โ€“ 7 years' experience in enterprise level IT Asset Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced Software Manager (ASM), Certified Software manager (CSM) or advanced knowledge of software licensing models and their use.
  • Advanced knowledge of Software Asset Management procedures and tools.
  • Knowledge of financial management process and tools.
  • Knowledge of configuration management process and tools.
  • Experience with software environment within a large enterprise.
  • Knowledge of the hardware life cycle and the ability to map its stages to relevant asset management processes internally.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL foundations, practices and processes.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
