General Manager in Training opportunity available for day/afternoon/evening and weekend hours, floating to nine convenient Stores (5-Holiday StationStores) companywide.

About the Manager in Training Position:

This position will be learning all aspects of running a Holiday StationStore and will be assigned a store once available and capable of the responsibilities.

During training, and prior to placement of your own store, you would primarily be learning and supporting all locations with workflow, employee schedule needs, and procedural practices. You will get to work as a team with our Sales Support Manager to better position each location with the needed high-level support.

As General Manager in Training, you will be directed by the Sales Support Manger to work at different locations from one day to the next according to training and the needs of the location.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Implementing consistent procedural practices and standards required by The LINN Companies and Corporate Holiday

Preform procedural training effectively to help facilitate on the job training

Follow up on all manager and employee concerns or inquiries with the ability to handle all issues effectively, professionally, and confidentially once an issue is raised

Fill in for management during vacation or other absences or training new managers

Assistance with store meetings

Scheduling assistance on labor hours to best meet the labor budgets, and monitor payroll hours

Assist in new applicant needs for the stores

Monitor ordering and product layout to obtain a fully stocked, priced correctly, and most profitable offering to customers.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully you must have the ability to manage others well, while multi-tasking in high volume locations, and must have 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in convenient stores or chain locations. Candidates must have exceptional communication and leadership skills, a very high regard for customer service, store cleanliness, and attention to detail. This job requires you to be on your feet for 8 hours per shift and carry up to 60 lbs. We are looking for all candidates to have a willingness to have a flexible schedule and travel to multiple stores according to needs.
