Job Description
General Scope of Duties
The Summer Coordinator - Lifeguard provides coverage during the summer months so pool can used by the general college community and rentals. This role is responsible for overseeing all swimmers, enforcing natatorium rules, and must be have the proper certifications.
General Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitor pool and aquatic areas to ensure the safety of all participants and guests
• Enforce pool rules, safety regulations, and emergency procedures
• Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and potential hazards
• Administer first aid, CPR, AED assistance, and water rescues as needed
• Maintain constant surveillance of swimmers and surrounding areas
• Conduct opening, closing, and daily safety inspections of the facility
• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to questions or concerns from patrons
• Complete incident and accident reports accurately and promptly
• Support a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all facility users
Education and Skills
  • High School Diploma and one year of experience required
  • Current Lifeguarding/CPR/AED certifications required
  • Ability to remain alert and respond calmly in emergency situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
