The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Strategic Operations Consultant to support the Head of Operations Strategy, Insights & Performance Optimization. This role functions as a central point of coordination across leadership strategic priorities, executive level materials, and key operational deliverables. The ideal candidate is highly organized and excels at managing multiple work efforts and competing priorities, synthesizing information for executive audiences, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders both within and outside of Operations.
The Team
Operations Strategy Insights & Performance Optimization (SIPO) serves as the nerve center for Operations supporting our strategy, identifying issues, providing insights, and driving tangible solutions and actions to ensure we drive the right outcomes for customers, advisors, and talent. We achieve this through data-informed decisions, best-in-class partnership and proactive thought leadership.
The Impact
In this role, you operate as a central connector and driver of execution for senior leadership priorities-ensuring critical deliverables are aligned, insights are clear, and strategic initiatives move forward with discipline and focus. You bring structure to complexity, translating business needs into actionable plans, aligning stakeholders across functions, and enabling leaders to make informed decisions.
You elevate the effectiveness of the leadership team by strengthening communication, driving key planning cadences, and ensuring seamless execution of high-priority initiatives.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Senior Leadership Coordination
  • Partner to drive key senior leadership deliverables, ensuring follow-through on action items
  • Serve as a liaison across departments on behalf of senior leadership for key deliverables
  • Help drive high priority special strategic projects such as our quarterly business reviews
  • Drive research projects that influence executive decision-making
  • Positively contribute to Operations ambitious goals, and help drive the success of MassMutual
  • Other assignments as needed.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner across Operations to monitor timelines and ensure key deadlines are met
  • Interface with multiple teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of deliverables

Calendar & Planning Cadence
  • Develop and maintain an annual calendar for the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment on key milestones, events, drive the agenda and deliverables Establish and manage operational rhythms

Meeting & Event Management
  • Help to coordinate and manage strategic planning meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation, and follow-up actions
  • Support the planning and successful execution of town halls, manager calls, manager fly-in and leadership offsites related to strategic planning, content recommendation and creation, supporting the head of SIPO.

Executive Communications & Materials
  • Partner on preparation of presentations and executive-level materials for business plans, strategic engagements
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise updates for leadership review
  • Contribute to substantive strategic problem-solving efforts - problem solving, stakeholder engagement, and team dynamics
  • Generate impact as a trusted advisor by maintaining the ability to see the big picture in inherently complex and dynamic situations, and demonstrating a strong view for value in both prioritizing and solving problems

The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of operations,
  • business management, consulting, communications or strategy & planning experience
  • 8+ years operations, business management, consulting, communications or strategy & planning experience

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience supporting executive leadership or working in support of a Chief of Staff type function
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when working with senior leaders
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to distill complex topics into simple stories
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with matrix-organizational structures or cross-functional projects
  • Master's Degree

Salary Range:
$128,000-$168,000
