DCI is a leading public affairs firm that helps clients shape public opinion and drive impact through strategic communications and advocacy. We design and execute campaigns that deliver results—even in the most complex political and policy environments.

We're looking for a Director of Strategic Alliances to lead third-party engagement efforts. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of coalition building, stakeholder outreach, and public policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead outreach to and relationship-building with nonprofits, think tanks, academics, advocacy groups, and other third-party stakeholders
  • Cultivate and manage long-term strategic partnerships that support clients’ goals
  • Drive issue campaign execution through expert and institutional engagement
  • Advise clients directly and collaborate with internal teams to shape and execute strategy
  • Identify and build new alliances aligned with client needs and policy priorities
  • Stay current on best practices in coalition management and external affairs
  • Support grassroots mobilization efforts and constituency engagement
  • Domestic travel (~10%) to support stakeholder relationship development

Who You Are

  • 5–10 years of experience in coalition building, community or stakeholder engagement, or nonprofit/government relations
  • Proven success in developing strategic alliances and managing complex projects
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder with strong political or policy acumen
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, client-service mindset
  • Strong network of external relationships across public policy sectors
  • Comfortable preparing and presenting strategic materials to senior audiences
  • Able to manage multiple projects with independence and sound judgment
  • Confident in your leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

If you're excited to drive impact through trusted partnerships and public affairs strategy, we’d love to hear from you.
