Job Description Summary

The Operations Specialist works directly with the Operations Team to assist with event and stadium operations of all Sporting KC venues and spaces. The Operations Specialist helps ensure all events are executed flawlessly by assisting the Operations Team in ensuring that Sporting KC facilities and fields are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Candidates with Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM are strongly encourage to apply.

Job Description

Associate Perks

Stadium Responsibilities

  • Ensure the stadium is operating according to the mission, vision, and values of Sporting KC.

  • Assist the Operations Team by moving, loading, and unloading equipment and supplies (including, but not limited to tables, chairs, linens, staging, signage, stanchion).

  • Assisting Operations Team with daily stadium tasks.

  • Coordinate with Facility Operations for various elements of general upkeep of Sporting KC facilities, as well as report damaged/missing furniture & equipment to leadership for replacement.

  • Represent Sporting KC and it's related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Event Responsibilities

  • Set up predetermined layouts prior to events, breakdown layouts following events and restore event spaces to standard layouts at Sporting Park and Three Points Rooftop Bar.

  • Transport all equipment, furnishings, deliveries, and supplies prior to the following events, often utilizing hand trucks and carts.

  • Help coordinate and conduct daily event/room set-ups, conversions, and removals.

  • Assist and oversee flipping of venue space between events.

  • Ensure events are running effectively and professionally.

  • Collaborate with Argyle Events team.

  • Assist Operations Team by maintaining organized on-site and off-site storage areas.

  • Provide operational support as needed for vendors, clients, and event personnel.

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred.

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years old.

  • Previous experience working in a public event venue or in a customer service role preferred.

  • Basic technology skills.

  • Reliable transportation.
