Essential Job Duties
This position supports the effective management and upkeep of NC State's Carter Finley Stadium Complex. The role involves overseeing daily operations, assisting with event preparation, and supporting maintenance projects to ensure facilities are ready for practices, competitions, and special events. It also includes budget support, staff coordination, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee the maintenance, daily operations, event preparation, and maintenance projects for athletics.
  • Assist with the coordination, scheduling and management of all maintenance and preparation of athletic facilities for all projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of athletic facility operating budgets. Assist in the assessment and prioritizing of current and future maintenance expenditure needs.
  • Provide leadership, oversight and direction to select athletic facility managers and staff and coordinate all efforts with select team staff and game operations staff in support of select varsity team activities, competitions and special events utilizing select athletic facilities and spaces.
  • Work closely with department offices (i.e., Marketing, Media Relations, etc.), University Departments (i.e., University Recreation, Construction Management); partners (i.e., Wolfpack Club, Wolfpack Sports Marketing) and other outside entities (i.e., PNC Arena, State Fairgrounds) in the execution of maintenance projects that would be impactful.
  • Assist in initiating all third-party contracts required to conduct maintenance and management for select facilities.
  • Responsible for personnel oversight including performance evaluations, personnel action recommendations and organizational leadership as needed within the work unit.
  • Must ensure areas of responsibility implement facility management strategies in line with University, Division and Department goals.
  • Responsible for strategic level facility management for NC State Athletic facilities, including Close-King Indoor Practice Facility, Carter-Finley Stadium, Vaughn Towers, Murphy Center and other facilities.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Facility Management.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in the trade(s) areas assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing a Division 1 Football complex.
Required License or Certification
  • Valid driver's license required.
