Job description

Job Summary:
The Stadium Operations Intern will assist the Director of Stadium Operations in all facets of the department, playing a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of all events at Dabos Park. This full-time seasonal position offers valuable hands-on experience in the sports industry, focusing on event operations, facility management, and guest experience. The internship is scheduled from May 2026 through the end of the baseball season and requires availability for all Montgomery Biscuits home games and other stadium events, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a paid position.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning, setup, and breakdown of all stadium events, including baseball games, concerts, and community functions.
  • Support day-to-day facility maintenance and operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and guests.
  • Help manage operational inventory, including equipment, supplies, and signage.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments (e.g., grounds crew, concessions, security, ticketing) to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues promptly during events.
  • Assist in enforcing stadium policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives within the Stadium Operations department.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a college program (Junior or Senior year) or a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and take on challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including extensive nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the event schedule.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often across various stadium terrains.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Ability to climb stairs, navigate ramps, and work at heights if necessary.
  • Manual dexterity to operate various equipment and tools.
