Job Description

RIVO is growing-and we're looking for a results-driven, people-first Collections Manager to lead a high-performing team and own a dynamic lending portfolio with exciting revenue expansion opportunities ahead.

What You'll Do

Drive Portfolio Performance

  • Own daily operations of your assigned portfolio to meet or exceed collections revenue goals.
  • Establish team quotas and strategies in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Monitor performance, forecast results, and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Analyze trends, metrics, and QA feedback to optimize team and individual performance.

Lead & Develop Talent

  • Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing collections team.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop Team Leads and entry-level collectors.
  • Set clear goals, deliver ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Address performance issues and disciplinary actions with consistency and fairness.

Improve Processes & Customer Experience

  • Reduce delinquency and increase recovery through effective negotiation and payment strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve systems, workflows, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all collections-related regulatory standards.
  • Resolve complex account issues while balancing company objectives and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive debt collection experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding portfolio and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated success in building, coaching, and leading high-performing collections teams in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Strong expertise in negotiation techniques, payment arrangements, and delinquency mitigation strategies that drive recovery while preserving customer relationships.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage KPIs, QA feedback, and performance reporting to identify trends, improve outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of collections best practices and regulatory compliance within consumer lending environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and comfort working in CRM and collections management systems.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong leadership presence and the ability to motivate teams to consistently deliver results.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. For this role, compensation includes a competitive base salary and variable incentive opportunities tied to performance. A reasonable estimate of the annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this job is $70,304 to $110,000+. Individual compensation within these ranges takes into account a wide range of factors considered in making decisions, including but not limited to education, experience and training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and skill sets, and other business and organizational needs.
