Terra Energy is a growing residential solar company expanding its network of builders, realtors, and distribution partners. We're looking for an entry-level Business Development Representative to help identify new partnership opportunities, build strong relationships, and support our continued growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to build a career in business development and sales.
The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying and developing new channel partnerships through outreach, networking, and relationship building. You'll guide new partners through onboarding, collaborate with internal teams, and help grow long-term business relationships that support Terra Energy's expansion.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Proactively identify and reach out to potential partners across builder, realtor, distribution, and new builder channels through calls, emails, networking, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of partnership opportunities by consistently generating new leads.
  • Qualify prospective partners and guide them through the initial stages of the partnership process.
  • Support the onboarding of new partners by coordinating documentation, system setup, and other administrative tasks.
  • Serve as the primary sales contact for assigned partners, building strong, long-term relationships and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution and ongoing account success.
  • Monitor partner performance, identify opportunities to expand existing relationships, and help drive continued business growth.
  • Keep CRM records, pipeline updates, and partner information accurate and up to date.
  • Represent Terra Energy professionally during trade shows, partner meetings, and other networking events as needed.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in cold outreach and networking.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative to generate new business opportunities.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar is a plus.
  • Prior experience in residential solar, home services, or relationships with builders, realtors, or distributors is a plus, but not required.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly for trade shows, partner meetings, and company training.

  • Experience in residential solar, home services, or a related industry.
