Position Summary

We are seeking a relationship‑driven solar business development executive to grow our solar business across Florida by engaging key decision‑makers early in the project lifecycle. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners to position the company for early involvement in planning, design, budgeting, and specification development.

Working closely with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and leadership teams, the solar business development executive helps shape opportunities from concept through proposal, negotiation, and close. Key Responsibilities

Drive new business growth by identifying and developing solar project opportunities across florida, partnering with architects, engineers, developers, owners, and general contractors.

Build and nurture strong, long‑term relationships that position the company for early involvement in project planning, budgeting, and design decisions.

Act as a trusted advisor and solar subject‑matter expert, educating partners on project feasibility, delivery methods, financial considerations, and value drivers.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities, strengthening brand presence and expanding professional networks.

Collaborate closely with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop conceptual budgets, pricing strategies, and compelling proposals.

Manage and advance leads through the full sales cycle— from early engagement through proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.

Present the company’s value proposition, technical expertise, and service capabilities in a clear, confident, and tailored manner to diverse audiences.

Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline data in the CRM while providing regular progress and forecast updates to leadership.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, finance, construction management, or similar preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development required.
  • Previous solar, energy, construction, roofing, or related technical sales experience preferred.
  • Proven outbound sales and prospecting experience in a B2B environment required.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer accounts and building long‑term professional relationships required.
  • Experience engaging architects, engineers, general contractors, or commercial construction decision‑makers strongly preferred.

Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent selling, networking, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel throughout Florida and attend meetings, events, and industry functions as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities, and travel commitments across a statewide territory.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre‑Employment Drug
