Job description

Software Product Management Specialist #1059796
Position Description:
Employees in this job function are responsible for development and management of activities for software products, web applications, mobile apps, online platforms and connected devices throughout its lifecycle of planning, definition, production, release, and end of life. They focus on value, viability, design, usability and feasibility and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to design and shape the vision and future of a product. They serve as central resource, collaborating with design, process, test, quality and marketing teams as the product moves from definition to end of life.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Migration Strategy & Co-existence Roadmap Define and execute the product roadmap for migrating legacy automotive BOM data and processes (e.g., from Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP, or proprietary legacy databases) into 3DEXPERIENCE. Collaborate with enterprise architects to design and manage "co-existence" strategies (dual-running of legacy and 3DX systems) to ensure zero disruption to ongoing vehicle programs. Establish decommissioning criteria for legacy BOM applications as capabilities are successfully transitioned to 3DX.
  • Automotive BOM Solutioning & Configuration Management Own the product vision for how vehicle structures, options, variants, and marketing rules are authored, managed, and validated within 3DX. Design and implement robust processes for managing the 150% Over-Complete BOM and generating precise 100% Configured BOMs for downstream procurement and manufacturing. Define the integration points and data-flow standards between CAD (3D design), EBOM (Engineering BOM), MBOM (Manufacturing BOM), and downstream ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Drive the standardization of Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO) and effectivity (date, unit, serial, and milestone-based) within the 3DX environment.
  • Data Migration & Quality Governance Partner closely with Data Migration and IT teams to define data mapping, transformation rules, and data cleansing strategies from legacy schemas to the 3DX unified data model. Establish data quality metrics and validation frameworks to ensure migrated BOM structures are complete, accurate, and fully functional in the new platform.
  • Agile Product Delivery & Stakeholder Management Manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog (Epics, User Stories) in Jira, balancing technical migration debt with new feature enablement. Act as the primary liaison between global vehicle program teams, engineering attributes leads, purchasing, manufacturing, and the PLM implementation team. Advocate for "Out-of-the-Box" (OOTB) 3DEXPERIENCE capabilities to minimize customization, ensuring long-term platform supportability and upgrade paths. 5
  • Business Readiness & Change Management Lead the cultural and process shift required to move global engineering teams from legacy BOM-authoring mindsets to a modern, data-driven 3DX paradigm. Partner with Change Management teams to develop comprehensive training plans, user guides, and hyper-care support models for phased rollouts.

Skills Required:
  • Product Management

Skills Preferred:
  • Java, REST APIs

Experience Required:
  • Specialist Exp.: 7+ years as Product/Delivery Mgr

Experience Preferred:
  • We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager to lead the transformation, modernization, and migration of our Automotive Bill of Materials (BOM) management processes into the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform.
  • In this role, you will be the product champion responsible for sunsetting our legacy PLM/BOM systems and establishing a unified, 3DX-native BOM solution.
  • You will define how we manage complex automotive product structures—including 150% Master BOMs, variant configuration, effectivity, and 100% Configured BOMs.
  • This is a highly strategic role that sits at the intersection of Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and Data Migration, requiring a leader who can balance technical platform capability with the human element of large-scale digital transformation.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree

Education Preferred:
  • Master's Degree

Additional Information:
  • Architectural Leadership & Strategy
    • Define the end-to-end PLM architecture on the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform (Cloud or On-Premise).
    • Lead the strategy for BOM Transformation, ensuring seamless synchronization between Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Service BOM (SBOM).
    • Architect solutions for Product Configuration and Variant Management to handle complex automotive option-logic and 150% BOM structures.
  • Technical Design & Implementation
    • Design data models, schema changes, and interface specifications within ENOVIA. * Oversee the integration of 3DX with downstream systems such as ERP (SAP/Oracle) and legacy CAD environments (CATIA V5/V6).
    • Lead technical deep-dives into 3DX modules such as Product Configurator, and Change Manager.
    • Develop migration strategies for transitioning legacy BOM data into the 3DX environment
  • Domain Excellence (Automotive BOM)
    • Standardize Change Management processes (ECR/ECN) within the platform to ensure traceability across global engineering teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with Engineering Leads and Manufacturing Engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical requirements.
    • Provide technical governance and mentorship to developers and system integrators.
