Job description

JOB TITLE:  Assistant Distribution Center Manager

The Assistant Distribution Center Manager (ADCM) assists the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) in overseeing all warehouse activities including but not limited to receiving, put away, and overall organization of product in the warehouse. The ADCM will help the DCM manage staff, where necessary, and help to ensure efficient operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ distribution center operations experience, supervision /management preferred
  • Experience managing fleet of delivery vehicles
  • Operate vehicles under DOT compliance
  • Possess a valid standard driver’s license, some states may require a Class D license - No CDL required.
  • Meet requirements for DOT compliance; pass drug test and DOT physical, be at least 21 years, eligible and willing to cross state lines for deliveries as required
  • Insurable by Company’s insurance carrier
  • Inventory management and cycle counting
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to operate a lift.  All positions that require the use of a lift, will be provided training to obtain lift certification
  • Ability to become Smith System certified.  Training will be provided by the company
