Job description

Internship – Quality/Operational Technology

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

This internship role is part of the Smith & Nephew Intern Program, designed to attract top-performing undergraduates in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines from local universities. Interns will work on meaningful projects that contribute to the company's goals, gain valuable exposure to the medical device industry, and benefit from team-building activities and social events. The program aims to enhance the students' skills, support career growth, and potentially create future employment opportunities.

What will you be doing? Create automated workflows and digital tools to streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and develop dashboards for better business trend analysis. Work closely with managers to complete assigned intern projects, and assist engineers in conducting software stress testing and preparing Computer System Validation (CSV) documents.

What will you need to be successful? The candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or an equivalent field. The role is based in Bandar Cassia, Penang and is open to fresh graduates or undergraduates undergoing industrial training. Candidates should have strong analytical and collaborative skills, excellent oral and written communication, programming knowledge, and basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
