Summary: The Regional Safety and Compliance Manager serves as a regional field extension of the Corporate Safety Office (CSO), supporting consistent execution of enterprise safety and compliance expectations across assigned divisions. This role identifies operational risk, reinforces regulatory and company standards, supports field accountability, and helps reduce accidents, injuries, cargo loss, and regulatory exposure while balancing safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Execute CSO safety and compliance programs, standards, SOPs, and initiatives across assigned divisions while adapting implementation to local operational risk and customer requirements. Monitor and verify compliance with applicable OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, EPA, company policy, and related regulatory requirements. Conduct risk-based site visits, inspections, audits, and safety program reviews; document findings, verify corrective action completion, and escalate repeat, serious, or unresolved deficiencies to the CSO. Lead or support accident, incident, near-miss, vehicle event, and serious safety concern investigations, including root cause, preventability, corrective and preventive action, and follow-up review. Develop, facilitate, coordinate, and document safety and compliance training, including powered industrial truck training, onboarding, new business orientation, and required regulatory programs. Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Human Resources, customers, and field leadership to coach safe behaviors, reinforce accountability, and support corrective action while maintaining operational ownership at the field level. Maintain accurate records and data integrity across safety, compliance, telematics, camera, training, audit, reporting, and CSO task management systems. Analyze safety data, inspection results, CSO scorecards, KPIs, leading and lagging indicators, trend reports, system gaps, and overdue corrective actions to support division action plans and CSO escalation. Regional Safety Manager Requirements
Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: Associate degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, transportation safety, logistics, or related field. Minimum three years of safety, compliance, or risk management experience, includingexperience supporting multiple locations, divisions, or operating sites. Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, EPA, safety, transportation, environmental, driver safety, and regulatory compliance audit practices. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, telematics, and onboard safety systems. Strong communication, coaching, analytical, root cause analysis, decision-making,organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills, including the ability to completeaccurate documentation, reports, and follow-up communications in a timely manner. Valid driver's license with REAL ID for air travel and ability to travel up to 30%, includingovernight travel away from home. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with cross functionalteams. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety,transportation safety, logistics, or related field. Safety training credentials such as OSHA 30, OSHA 511, Fall Protection EquipmentInspector, Designated Employer Representative, Smith System Trainer, HAZWOPER, PITTrain-the-Trainer, or similar credentials. Experience with Tenstreet, Geotab, Netradyne, PeopleNet, Lytx, Samsara,SambaSafety, or similar safety and compliance platforms.
