HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Senior Systems Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure. Manages IT infrastructure and related processes. Provides support to the infrastructure including day-to-day operations, problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Installs, configures, and manages operating system software and implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.

Skilled Senior System Administrator with specialization in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra are encouraged to apply.  Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in managing and maintaining Active Directory environments and have a solid background in system administration, particularly within Windows server ecosystems. The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for administration, management, monitoring, and maintenance of our Active Directory infrastructure including Group Policy Management, Active Directory Domain Services, Domain Name System (DNS), DHCP, Windows Authentication Protocols, Security and Compliance, Backup and Recovery, Server Administration, Upgrades and Patch Management, Monitoring and Reporting, and Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Infrastructure Support: Conducts activities in support of LifeNet Health infrastructure including servers, network devices, operating systems, directory services, virtualization, telecom and collaboration systems, permissions, and file services. Administers printers including software setup, group policy deployment, network connectivity, scripting, and troubleshooting issues.
  • System Monitoring: Monitors and maintains system alerts and notifications and works with system owners on alert notifications and processes.
  • Endpoint Management: Maintains, administers, and supports the Microsoft Endpoint Manager environment. This includes foundational functions such as software deployment and patching, and Windows updates and feature updates.
  • Customer Service and Incident Response: Acts as an escalation point for the Systems Administrator and Technical Services Staff including training and troubleshooting. Responds to incidents and service requests using the service management system according to predefined SLAs. Assists the security team with audits, investigations, remediations, and emergency deployment of server patches.
  • Backups: Administers and manages backups and Disaster Recovery solutions including reporting and resolving failures, monitoring of storage capacity and reporting, and restoring data upon request to ensure backup policy and strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience with functional and technical aspects of IT support services to include user account administration, servers, networking, operating systems, and applications.
  • Three (3) years of administration experience with at least three of the following: Servers, System Patching, Active Directory, Office 365, Networking, Security, or Telecom.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and/ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) to be obtained with first year in role


Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Security + Certification

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and build relationships with all professionals at different levels within the organization.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure high degree of accuracy/completeness and early/on-time delivery.
  • Analysis/ Problem Solving: Ability to identify and define problems and solutions.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in administrating Email Systems, Virtual Environments, Printers, third-party software deployment, patch management, security, Active Directory, Group Policy Management. Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and productivity software (MS Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe).
  • Backup & Recovery: Shadow Copies, Backup Software and Technologies, Basic Backup and Recovery Theory.
  • Equipment/ Technology: Skillful in proper use of tools, hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Diagnostic & Management Utilities: Diagnostic and management utilities, including but not limited to: Active Directory, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager or equivalent.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $87,226 - $116,301 annually


Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $ 87,226 annually (entry level qualifications) to $116,301 annually (experienced in this role). Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.
