Job description

Systems Administrator

This role is a Middleware and System Administrator focused on managing application and web servers within enterprise environments. The position involves administration, automation, cloud platform exposure, and operational support. The administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of middleware products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain middleware platforms, including application and web servers.
  • Manage application deployments and provide support for application and infrastructure testing.
  • Oversee certificate management and application server configuration.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Jython, Shell, and Ansible.
  • Provide on-call support for middleware products, which may include weekend work as needed.
  • Handle infrastructure and configuration changes to support system requirements.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Unix.
  • Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Jython scripting.
  • Understanding of Java.
  • Knowledge of Ansible for automation.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $55.58 to $86.22 per hour. Please note that the exact compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. This contract position may be eligible for certain benefits.
