POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing management of the district's enterprise technology network services, with primary ownership of the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Entra, Active Directory, and Intune) and district-wide network operations. This position serves as the technical lead for network services, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support teaching, learning, and business operations across all district sites. The role requires deep expertise in cloud and hybrid environments, identity and access management, endpoint management, cybersecurity, Virtualization platforms and disaster recovery, and network architecture. The Senior Systems Administrator provides strategic leadership, technical direction, and hands-on administration, while proactively identifying improvements that align with district goals, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., SAFE K-12), and industry best practices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or technical certification preferred, or technical certification preferred.
Relevant Certifications (Preferred):
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent, Cisco (CCNA or higher).
Work Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in systems, cloud, and network administration, disaster recovery, and data center support, demonstrated experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and enterprise networking. Experience in K-12 or large enterprise environments preferred.
