Job description

Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator
Our client is hiring a highly experienced IT Infrastructure professional to manage and support our Windows, Linux, Active Directory, virtualization, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments. This hands-on role will maintain secure, reliable systems while supporting infrastructure projects, lifecycle planning, compliance, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
This position is a direct placement with the client and must work on-site in Newark, DE.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, identity management, and authentication services
• Manage physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure, including VMware and Azure/AWS environments
• Support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Autopilot
• Maintain backups, storage, monitoring tools, patching, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery capabilities
• Implement infrastructure upgrades, automation, new technologies, and performance improvements
• Support infrastructure planning, budgeting, vendor management, licensing, audits, and regulatory compliance
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call production support
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Five or more years of systems administration experience
• At least three years of experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix Hypervisor, Nutanix AHV, or Linux KVM
• Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and email administration
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS
• Strong troubleshooting, project management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
