Senior Strategy Analyst - Government Services

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is searching for a Senior Strategy Analyst - Government Services to join the Government Services Business Development & Strategy team in Hazelwood, MO, to meet customer needs through customer engagement, campaign development, and requirements shaping.
The Government Services Strategy team is responsible for providing and synthesizing BGS-Government Services business, market, competitive, and financial information to develop and evaluate strategic alternatives (e.g. business model, organic investments, competitiveness) across the enterprise. The team works closely with the BGS businesses to develop strategic growth plans and partners with other functions to ensure strategies and required investments are reflected in the business plan.
The successful candidate will lead across organizational boundaries to ensure strategic alignment and integration across Boeing. The ability to collaborate as part of a team as well as perform independently, to generate key strategic analysis, while applying critical thinking across complex problems and to present and defend insights from the analysis to senior leaders within the business is critical to the success of the position.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads integration & synthesis of research, benchmarking & forecasting
  • Develops integrated view of the future business environment and opportunities
  • Oversees enterprise, functional and business unit integration of strategic decision analysis
  • Leads business case development through partnering with other functions
  • Ensures strategies and investments are reflected in Long Range Business Plan
  • Oversees integration of market development for industry collaboration, acquisitions or partnerships
  • Collaborates across functions and business units to develop and deploy strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Oversees high-level meetings regarding complex strategy subjects, building alignment and driving decision-making

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years' experience performing strategy related work (e.g. market or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, facilitating strategic decisions)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-25% of the time to support business and team requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 7+ years' experience performing strategy related work (e.g. market or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, facilitating strategic decisions)
  • MBA or advanced business/finance, strategy, or international degree
  • Experience in the industrial, defense, or aerospace industry, especially in aerospace & defense aftermarket services
  • Experience in developing long-term strategies and being a strategic business partner supporting a leadership team
  • Consulting or business strategy experience
  • Educational background in Business (Finance, International, Marketing, and Operations Management), Economics, and/or Political Science considered desirable
  • Expertise in performing strategy work (e.g. market or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, and facilitating strategic decisions)
