The Principal Strategist of Social Commerce is a senior thought leader responsible for driving innovation, growth, and best-in-class execution across social commerce platforms. This role bridges thought leadership, solution development, and operational excellence, ensuring TikTok Shop and other social commerce strategies are seamlessly integrated within client solutions and agency operations. You champion a product- and measurement-led approach, turning insights into simple "what, so-what, now-what" choices that move executive decisions. You partner with senior internal leaders on high-stakes client touchpoints, new logos and cross-sell opportunities, and strategy resets. This person is a subject matter expert (SME) who can flex between performing technical audits and meeting with key client decision-makers to promote cross-sell services.
As the Principal Strategist of Social Commerce you will be responsible for the following:
• Leadership & Innovation
  • Advocate for innovation by ensuring emerging best practices, industry insights, and strategic TikTok Shop innovations are adopted across account teams.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new solutions that elevate TikTok Shop and broad Social Commerce performance for clients.
  • Partner with the Innovation & Growth Lead to define the future roadmap of social commerce solutions.
  • Model modern craft by using AI responsibly to improve the speed and quality of strategy work, while staying ahead of platform impacts.

• Strategic Growth & Business Development
  • Collaborate with account teams and client partner teams to develop client-specific positioning and content that increases service adoption.
  • Represent TikTok Shop in high-value new business pitches and audits, providing expert-level narratives to drive client acquisition and expansion.
  • Act as an executive-level advisor across strategic accounts, converting insights into decisions and funded next steps.
  • Support internal audit programs to ensure clients remain on the cutting edge with fresh strategy perspectives.

• Product & Measurement
  • Act as a power user and advocate for internal proprietary tools (Bliss Point by Tinuiti), connecting data structures to executive outcomes.
  • Synthesize multi-source data (MMM, incrementality, geo-lift, platform signals) into clear investment cases with confidence ranges.
  • Operate a feedback loop: bring client needs to Product and prioritize systemic issues for TikTok Shop execution

KPIs:
  • Achievement towards Social revenue and active relationship volume goals.
  • Growth influenced: expansion/cross-sell dollars influenced and pursuit win rate for relevant service lines.
  • Solution adoption rates and internal enablement effectiveness.
  • Client retention and trajectory reset success rate

Professional Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in the digital marketing space with enterprise impact and proven executive storytelling.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing, preferably at a media agency, with deep technical expertise in Social, Commerce, and Influencer.
  • Proven track record managing TikTok Shop Affiliate, Operations, and GMV Max; Live Shopping experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders without management authority, and drive adoption of cutting-edge strategies
