Senior Commercial Program Manager

As a Senior Commercial Program Manager, you will direct interdepartmental and external team members to ensure all functional departments are on track with project requirements, budget constraints, deadlines, schedules, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with project team members to identify risk and opportunities and resolve issues
  • Submit project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to contract requirements and quality standards
  • Prepare project status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information
  • Develop strategies to monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and risks and deliverables that support business goals
  • Establish and ensure the execution of effective project communication plans.
  • Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
  • Oversee the development and delivery of monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and preparation of presentations to management and internal / external customers
  • Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients
  • Identify and developing new opportunities with customers
  • Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables
  • Manage customer satisfaction within project transition period
  • Conduct post project evaluation lessons learned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field is required
  • Master's degree in business or related field a plus
  • 7+ years progressive experience with a strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
  • Rail, aerospace or heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience leading groups in a matrixed organization
  • Budget management experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid organization skills including attention to detail, multitasking, excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
