Job description

Reporting to Manager, Executive Talent Acquisition, the Senior Recruiter is responsible for providing the highest level of Talent Acquisition services to executives and hiring managers. This role delivers high quality professional candidates and promotes the Tribe across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the talent acquisition process. The Sr Recruiter performs full lifecycle recruiting and maintains excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, HR partners, and other stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partners with executives, hiring managers and HR partners while executing full lifecycle talent acquisition activities across multiple locations and industries within the organization with an emphasis on professional to executive level roles.
2. Interviews, evaluates, and screens candidates for specific job openings using competency based behavioral interview techniques to ensure the candidate matches all specifications of the position including organizational fit and job fit.
3. Sources passive and active candidates through a variety of methods focusing on social media, networking, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), sourcing databases, employee referrals, college recruiting program, cold calling, and other creative and traditional search methods.
4. Identifies selective short lists of candidates by conducting detailed candidate comparisons and makes recommendations regarding hiring of candidates; participates in all stages of the selection process.
5. Partners as a subject matter expert and develops Service Level Agreements with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and sourcing strategies for short-term and long-term staffing that results in a pipeline of viable candidates. Assists client groups with developing appropriate interview techniques.
6. Recommends compensation packages to hiring managers and executives based on candidate qualifications. Educates candidates on the total value proposition of the Tribe and leads the offer process ensuring alignment with compensation and HR business partners.
7. Maintains accurate documentation, metrics, and reporting related to the full candidate process while ensuring compliance with policy.
8. Leads and participates in college/university recruiting events, job fairs, community partner recruiting, and building relationships with outside organizations to support candidate development.
9. Generates a robust pipeline of highly qualified and interested candidates for multiple searches (both for active searches and for developing pipelines of candidates for future searches).
10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Minimum four (4) years of direct and progressive work experience in full life cycle recruiting required.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Must be well versed on executive compensation and developmental programs.
  • Proficiency working with ATS is required.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, CareerBuilder, Indeed, Dice, and other sourcing databases is required.
  • Expertise and knowledge of interviewing techniques, human resources/procedures, and federal/state laws regarding employment practices is required.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, strong client focus, influencing skills and be a team player.
  • Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT

  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
