The Senior Desktop Engineer provides systems support to Premise managed health centers, corporate users, and regional offices. The purpose of the position is to deploy our endpoints and maintain their compliance and health through our administrative tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Cloud Management Gateway, and Jamf. The position also partners effectively with our Desktop Tech Lead to evaluate and implement new technologies to advance our IT organization in the administration of our IT assets, with a focus on automation. The Senior Desktop Engineer functions as a mentor to the non-senior engineers on the Desktop team.
This is a Full Time, hybrid, Senior Desktop Engineer role located in Brentwood, TN.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for endpoint management, software packaging/deployment, patching, and general maintenance of the tools used to administer those endpoints.
  • Support the identification and implementation of innovative approaches to administrative tasks with a focus on automation, compliance, and security.
  • Configure and maintain Operating System Deployment task sequences for hardware imaging.
  • Participate in the planning of upgrades, changes, or implementation of endpoint administration systems, while following established change control processes.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise technologies such as security, networking, and infrastructure, with the ability to resolve interoperability problems on a large scale.
  • Work with Premise vendors to identify and support end user products and solutions.
  • Actively participate in, and or lead, project management meetings in support of assigned project work.
  • Work closely with the Desktop Tech Lead to test and evaluate new end user solutions.
  • Assist the Desktop Engineers with incidents where required.
  • Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience providing desktop level support in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager administration, including package creation/deployment, and OS administration/deployment.
  • Experience working with wireless networks, local area networks, SQL, scripting and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Intune administration, including Autopilot.
  • Experience with JAMF administration is desirable.
  • Capable with batch and PowerShell scripting.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems in Endpoint Configuration Manager, and able to analyze and remediate.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and end-user platform systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Group Policy and Active Directory administration
  • Innovative and creative problem solving skills.
  • Communicate with a wide variety of users from executives to individual users.
