The Automotive Segment Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and profitability within the automotive sector. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of automotive strategic account managers.
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the automotive segment aligned with corporate objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and decision-makers.
- Identify new market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to shape product positioning and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing to develop tailored value propositions and go-to-market plans.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, manage budgets, and monitor team performance.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and customer events to strengthen the company's presence in the automotive market.
- Oversee contract negotiations with our tier 1 strategic customers.
- Maintain competitive intelligence and analyze industry dynamics to inform long-term strategy.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE or BA in Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to translate market intelligence into measurable sales strategies.
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the automotive industry, preferably with OEM or Tier 1 exposure.
- Strong understanding of automotive market, supply chains, and technology trends (e.g., electrification, ADAS, connectivity).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed (25-50%).
- Strong computer familiarity with MS office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
