ABOUT THE ROLE:

As VP, Ticket Sales & Service, you will serve as a key member of the ticketing team, responsible for establishing and executing the strategic vision for ticket sales, membership services, retention, and fan engagement across the organization.


The VP, Ticket Sales & Service will be responsible for developing and managing local sales and service campaigns for the UFL’s teams, across a full menu of ticket products, including season ticket memberships, group tickets, premium seating, and individual game tickets. This will include the creation and implementation of pricing, packaging, retention, sales training and local sales activation strategies along with assisting in the oversight of local ticket directors across the league and its team markets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with SVP, Ticket Sales & Service to develop local market ticketing strategy to achieve sales targets.

  • Oversee the local execution of the ticketing strategy developed at the league-level.

  • Serve as conduit between league and local team as it relates to the development and activation of UFL ticket sales product offerings, including season ticket memberships, group packages, suites, individual game tickets and retention efforts.

  • Coordinate with SVP, Ticket Sales & Service in the execution of the ticketing budget at the local levels.

  • Lead development of annual renewal campaigns and/or seat relocation plans.

  • Oversee the sales execution of group theme nights throughout the season.

  • Work closely with the UFL Business Intelligence and Ticket Operations team establishing, monitoring, and modifying ticket prices across all team ticket sales and retention product offerings.

  • Work with SVP, Ticket Sales & Service to outline local sales tactics conducive to each UFL market.

Local Market Support

  • Facilitate the sharing of industry best practices as it relates to ticketing across UFL markets.

  • Lead efforts to solicit local market customer feedback.

  • Participate in the hiring of local market staff.

  • Coordinate with local teams to create and track ticket sales activations throughout the year.

  • Work closely Directors, Sales and Experience in establishing and reviewing monthly and yearly sales revenue goals, retention goals, monitoring sales activities, and reporting of sales results for each team.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with SVP, Ticket Sales & Service, the UFL’s Marketing team to develop go to market strategies, plans and implementation of all ticket sales, service and retention driven campaigns.

  • Work closely with our CRM team to maintain accurate customer and prospective customer records in our database and distribute leads in an efficient manner.

  • Work closely with Team GM and other local market staff to support all ticket sales efforts.

  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to identify key data that contributes to the achievement of local market ticket results.


Leadership

  • Actively participate in the leadership development and management of eight Directors, Ticket Sales & Service at the team level.

  • Assist in training and motivating the sales, service and operations staff at the team level.

  • Accountability for a professional sales culture and adherence to the brand values of the organization.

  • Assist in participating in ticket sales team staff meetings and facilitating discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue across markets.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent experience required.

  • 10+ years of experience working in ticket sales with a collegiate and/or professional sports franchise or facility and with five (5) years management experience preferred overseeing sales teams.

  • Minor league and/or start-up or new venue development experience preferred.

  • Experience managing and overseeing multiple sports properties preferred .

  • The ideal candidate has experience in sports or entertainment event ticket pricing, packaging, resourcing, and selling.

  • Proficiency in Archtics Ticketing System, Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365, CRM databases.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and establish systems and procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency.

  • Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industry.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The location of this role is flexible and the league will consider both remote candidates or those located in the Tri-State area, available to work in a hybrid environment, with an expectation of in-office collaboration 2-3 days per week.

  • Moderate Travel (<30% travel): UFL markets, games, and events as needed.

    • During the season this role will be required to attend weekly games in our team markets as well as during the playoffs.

  • Work requires the ability to lift/carry objects routinely as follows:

    • Light Lifting: No lifting of objects weighing more than 15 pounds on a regular basis.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000. This role is eligible for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401(k) plan, unlimited PTO and offers a discretionary bonus. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
