THE JOB:
As a Ticket Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth through the outbound sale of group and premium ticket inventory across MGM Resorts' entertainment venues and attractions. This role proactively develops new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and relationship-building, while managing inbound leads and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential customers. You will partner closely with internal sales teams, box office operations, production partners, and business stakeholders to identify sales opportunities, maximize ticket revenue, and deliver exceptional client service.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Perform daily operations and service of all existing accounts, assists in the coordination of sales promotions, meets or exceeds all predetermined activity and sales goals, represents MGMRI and develop lasting relationships at community events, and performs sales functions during related events
  • Responsible for maximizing revenue through the sale of premium and group tickets for MGMRI entertainment properties and venues (with a focus on outbound sales)
  • Manages inbound leads from 10 - 100 guests
  • Partners with the sales teams and box office staff for production partners such as Cirque du Soleil, Jabbawockeez and more
  • Prospects daily through cold calling, networking, appointment setting, and referrals
  • Utilizes and create effective sales contacts
  • Develops strong and collaborative relationships with internal sales groups (convention, meeting, and special event teams), clients and business partners
  • Applies proactive tactics to create opportunities for group sales with new customers and organizations (DMPs, etc.)
  • Develops database for Sales and Services by maintaining complete and accurate customer records

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • At least one (1) year of prior relevant experience in entertainment, sports, events, sales, or prior relevant experience
  • Prior experience with Ticketmaster, Archtics, Kore, or AXS, (preferred)
