Job description

The Lake County Captains are seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Ticket Sales Manager to join our sales team. This position will play a key role in driving ticket revenue, developing new business, leading sales initiatives, and creating memorable experiences for Captains fans and group outings.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced sports environment, is comfortable prospecting for new business, and leads by example through consistent sales activity and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in the sale of all ticket packages, group outings, and ticket-related events.
  • Aggressively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and sales meetings.
  • Develop creative sales ideas and initiatives to help the ticket sales team achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Maintain a consistent and robust pipeline of prospective accounts through ongoing prospecting and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company's sales database, including sold accounts, prospects, and leads.
  • Attend networking events, community events, and other functions outside of normal business hours to generate new business.
  • Manage and execute the complete ticket sales process, including prospecting, account management, payment processing, ticket paperwork, and follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency throughout the ticket sales and processing procedures.
  • Lead by example in daily sales activity, including call volume, meetings, prospecting, and overall sales performance.
  • Lead and participate in ticket sales meetings and applicable leadership meetings.
  • Identify and develop creative group themes, promotions, and unique group experiences to increase ticket sales.
  • Direct, schedule, and assign daily responsibilities to ticket sales interns.
  • Assist with the development and training of interns and junior members of the sales team.
  • Coordinate food and beverage needs for group events with the Director of Food & Beverage.

Goals & Performance Expectations
  • Assist the Director of Sales with sales meetings, presentations, and account development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Consistently lead the ticket sales team in call volume and sales activity.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in sales meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain a strong and active sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute new sales initiatives throughout the season.
  • Direct, schedule, and assign daily tasks to ticket sales interns.
  • Identify new group-theme opportunities and creative ways to grow group sales.
  • Coordinate food and beverage requirements for ticketed groups and events.
  • Maintain accurate and timely information in the company's sales database.
