Job Description
Alabama State University, Operations Event Management, invites applications for the position of Lead Ticket Sales Specialist. The Lead Ticket Sales Specialist is a key member of the sales team, responsible for overseeing and managing the ticket sales process for various events, performances, or venues. This role involves coordinating with team members, developing sales strategies, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Lead Ticket Sales Specialist will exhibit exceptional communication leadership, and organizational skills to ensure the successful execution of ticket sales campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide a team of ticket sellers, providing direction, training, and support to ensure team members meet or exceed objectives
  • Collaborate with management to develop sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns to maximize ticket revenue and reach sales targets
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Engage potential customers through various communication channels, such as email, phone calls, social media, and in-person meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing and promotional teams to create compelling campaigns that drive ticket sales and enhance brand awareness
  • Coordinate with event organizers to ensure accurate inventory management and seamless customer experiences
  • Provide regular reports to management detailing sales metrics, progress toward goals, and recommendations for enhancing sale strategies

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in ticket operations, proven experience in ticket sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team. Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
