Position Overview
The Ticket Sales Associate supports all aspects of the Long Beach Coast's ticketing operation, with a particular focus on group sales outreach, inbound group inquiry coordination, and individual ticket sales. Reporting to the Ticket Sales Manager, this role is responsible for converting prospects into fans-driving revenue across group packages, season plans, flex packs, and single-game tickets while delivering outstanding service to every buyer.
This is a full-time, seasonal role requiring availability during Pacific Standard Time business hours, with flexibility to support home game needs during the season.
Key Responsibilities
Individual & Season Ticket Sales
  • Sell single-game tickets, flex packs, and mini-plans to individual fans through inbound inquiries and proactive outreach
  • Support season ticket holder acquisition and renewal campaigns as directed by the Ticket Sales Manager
  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to season ticket leads and lapsed buyers to drive re-engagement and new sales
  • Assist with will-call preparation, digital ticket distribution, and buyer support leading up to home games

Group Sales - Outbound
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn to identify and pursue group ticket opportunities with local businesses, organizations, schools, youth sports leagues, nonprofits, and community groups
  • Build and maintain a personal pipeline of group sales prospects; consistently meet or exceed outbound activity targets set by the Ticket Sales Manager
  • Develop and present tailored group ticket packages that align with the prospect's goals, budget, and audience size
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with leads through the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement
  • Represent the Long Beach Coast at community events, networking functions, and local organization meetings to generate awareness and group sales leads

Group Sales - Inbound Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound group sales inquiries via phone, email, and web forms; respond promptly and professionally
  • Qualify inbound leads, assess group size and needs, and guide prospects through available package options
  • Coordinate group event logistics including reserved seating arrangements, pre-game experiences, on-field activities, and any custom add-ons
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all group bookings into the ticketing system (Vivenu) and CRM (Hubspot)
  • Communicate group event details to internal stakeholders, including game operations staff, to ensure seamless execution on game day

Ticketing Platform & CRM Operations
  • Process ticket orders, group reservations, and payment plans accurately using Vivenu, the team's primary ticketing platform
  • Maintain clean, up-to-date records for all prospects and accounts in the CRM; log calls, emails, and meetings consistently
  • Pull basic sales reports and pipeline summaries as requested by the Ticket Sales Manager
  • Assist with promotional code creation, comp ticket requests, and ticket inventory management in Vivenu

Customer Service & Fan Experience
  • Deliver exceptional service to every buyer and prospect-before, during, and after the sale
  • Handle buyer questions, ticketing issues, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on team promotions, the game schedule, seating options, and the Blair Field experience
  • Coordinate with the Ticket Sales Manager to escalate and resolve complex buyer issues

Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
  • Support game-day ticket operations as needed, including group check-in coordination
  • Assist with the preparation of sales materials, group sales decks, and outreach templates
  • Participate in weekly sales team meetings and contribute updates on pipeline status and activity metrics
  • The Ticket Sales Associate may be asked to take on responsibilities outside of this job description in support of the Long Beach Coast and IBP team's broader needs
Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented; comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and follow-ups simultaneously
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent PST availability
  • Comfortable with technology; ability to learn ticketing and CRM platforms quickly (Vivenu experience a plus)

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and ticketing platforms
  • Genuine enthusiasm for baseball, live sports, or community-driven entertainment
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and meeting or exceeding sales activity targets
  • Degree or coursework in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required

Why You'll Love Working at the Long Beach Coast
  • Be part of building something new-this is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the sales culture of a growing professional baseball team
  • Work with a passionate, community-focused organization that measures success in fans brought together, not just tickets sold
