Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Museum Ticket Sales Associate to join their team!ย ย ย 


Miami Children's Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The Museum offers interactive exhibits, programs and learning materials related to arts, culture and our community. Miami Children's Museum encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine and create together.ย ย ย 


The Museum Ticket Sales Associate is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, operating POS systems for the purpose of selling admissions to the public and promoting the purchase of memberships. Also responsible for answering the museum's telephone switchboard promptly and professionally and lending administrative support to other departments in the executive offices.ย 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet visitors in a courteous and friendly manner with a smile and great attitude!ย 
  • Open, operate and close POS operations daily. Reconcile cash drawers daily upon closing.ย 
  • Promote membership sales to visitors purchasing admission tickets.ย 
  • Input membership information into Raiser's Edge database.ย 
  • Serve as a customer service representative and provide information to visitors as requested.ย 
  • Screen telephone calls and route them to the appropriate department(s)ย 
  • Be knowledgeable about all revenue-based opportunities at MCM and "sell" the opportunity when neededย 
  • Assist the Associate Director of Sales in the scheduling of the museum's camps, group tours, and birthday partiesย 
  • Assist the Marketing and Sales Department in performing related research assignments.ย 
  • Receive all mail/packages and distribute to appropriate departments in a timely mannerย 
  • Coordinate all courier pick-upsย 
  • Maintain the organization of the copy room and break roomย 
  • Assist with the ordering of office supplies and preparing invoicesย 
  • Other duties as assigned.ย 

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited high school or G.E.D.ย 
  • Highly organized individual.ย 
  • Experience with modern sales techniques and equipment.ย 
  • Ability to interact with the public in a positive and enthusiastic manner.ย 
  • A minimum of one year of verifiable customer service and/or sales experience.ย 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.ย
