Scale ManagerF&G RecyclingPosition Summary:The Scale Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the company's scale functions across multiple locations. This role serves as the primary liaison between the Finance Department, Operations, and Scale Operators, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, customer service, and billing support. The Scale Manager will supervise and support Scale Operators, coordinate staffing, training, and coverage, promote operational consistency, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will work closely with our Finance Team, Directors, Site Managers, and other operational leaders to support efficient transfer station and collection operations. This position requires availability during scale operating hours to provide operational support as needed, as well as the flexibility to work occasional Saturdays based on business needs.Compensation: $75,000-$85,000Benefits for working with F&G Recycling:401 (K), Roth, and Profit Sharing/Match PlansCompetitiveSalariessComprehensive medical, dental, vision, critical care, and accident insuranceShort/Long Term DisabilityFSA EligibilityTeleheltah an Mental Health SupportLife insurance options include a 100% employer-funded optionEmployee Assistance ProgramTraining and development opportunities with a growing family-owned companyYour Role:Oversee daily scale operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound material transactionsEnsure scale tickets, customer information, pricing, and transaction records are entered accurately and consistentlyMonitor scale system performance and work with Finance and IT to resolve issuesStandardize scale house procedures and promote best practices across multiple locations/companiesAssist with troubleshooting operations and customer service issues related to the scaleProvide day-to-day supervision and support to Scale OperatorsCoordinate staffing schedules and assist with vacation coverage and shift assignmentsTrain new Scale Operators and provide ongoing coaching and developmentServe as a resource for Scale Operators regarding policies, procedures, and operational questionsAssist Directors and Site Managers with employee performance management and operational oversightParticipate in the hiring and interview process for Scale OperatorsServe as primary liaison between the Scale Operators and the Finance departmentWork closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, billing, customer accounts, and transaction reconciliationAssist with identifying and correcting discrepancies related to scale transactions and customer invoicingSupport month- and year-end reporting processes as neededGenerate operational reports and provide data analysis to managementPartner closely with Directors, Site Managers, and operational leadership to support business objectivesAssist with implementing operational improvements and process enhancementsMaintain confidentiality of company and customer informationMaintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standardsAdapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needsYour Skills: Excellent communication, oral and written skillsGood interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to pay attention to detail, be organized, and multitaskAble to work effectively with different teams throughout the CompanyRequirements:High School Diploma or GED3-5 years of experience in scale operations, waste and recycling, transportation, logistics, or related operationsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeMust be available during scale operating hours.Ability to work occasional Saturdays based on business needs.Physical Demands:Listed below are key points regarding the job's environmental demands and work environment.
