  1. Has a well-developed understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning Experience, and their application to enterprise and program-based environments.
  2. Designs, develops, configures, and deploys Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and standard configuration tools.
  3. Develops and formulates solutions to address system integration challenges, data quality issues, and performance optimization needs in at least one Salesforce functional or technical area.
  4. Demonstrates working knowledge of Salesforce security, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and data governance best practices.

Creativity in Project & Program Development

  1. Independently develops and enhances Salesforce applications with minimal supervision based on evolving business requirements.
  2. Proposes innovative Salesforce-based solutions to improve business processes, reporting, and user experience.
  3. Participates in the design and implementation of new Salesforce initiatives, enhancements, and system integrations that support program and organizational goals.
  4. Provides ideas, technical rationale, and recommendations for continuous platform improvement and future Salesforce roadmap planning.

Certifications and Qualifications needed:

  1. 3 โ€“ 6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  2. Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  3. Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
  4. Salesforce Platform Developer II or other Salesforce certifications

IT Systems Used:

  1. Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience)
  2. Microsoft Office Suite
  3. Integration tools and APIs (REST/SOAP)
  4. Version control and CI/CD tools (as applicable)

Tasks include:

  1. Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce applications and custom solutions
  2. Configure Salesforce objects, workflows, flows, validation rules, and security settings
  3. Develop Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components as needed
  4. Support data integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems
  5. Troubleshoot, resolve, and document Salesforce defects and performance issues
  6. Participate in testing, deployment, and release management activities
  7. Provide ongoing application support and perform other duties as assigned to support NYSERDA IT initiatives
