About the Opportunity

ClearGov is seeking an analytical, process-driven Renewals Manager to design, own, and scale our end-to-end renewal operations across all customer segments. This is primarily a strategic and process-focused role dedicated to operationalizing playbooks, driving systems efficiency, and delivering precise retention forecasting.
Additionally, you will serve as a customer-facing commercial contact for our SMB and Tech Touch (TT) accounts when needed, leveraging those direct interactions to continually optimize our digital renewal processes for scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Predictive Retention & Forecasting: Work with CS Ops to build and own renewal forecasting models, flag early risk indicators, and deliver accurate Gross Retention Rate (GRR) and Net Retention Rate (NRR) projections to leadership.
  • Process Architecture & Segmentation: Build, standardize, and own the end-to-end renewal operating model across high-touch, mid-touch, and digital customer segments.
  • Stages & Rules of Engagement: Define explicit lifecycle stages, milestone triggers, and cross-functional ROE between Customer Success, Account Management, Sales, and RevOps.
  • Salesforce & Systems Optimization: Manage SFDC renewal pipelines, opportunity generation, forecasting workflows, and data integrity to ensure accurate net retention reporting.
  • AI & Digital Scaling: Implement AI-driven insights, automated messaging, and workflow triggers to efficiently scale renewals for digital/low-touch segments.
  • Commercial Strategy & Execution: Operationalize renewal pricing strategies, annual uplift models, contract co-terming, and multi-year commitment terms aligned with B2B SaaS best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Enablement: Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train CS teams on commercial conversations, objection handling, and system compliance.

Critical Skills/Experience:

  • Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Renewals, Account Management, or Revenue Operations within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
  • SaaS Renewal Forecasting: Demonstrated mastery in renewal pipeline forecasting, GRR/NRR modeling, and risk identification in partnership with CS Ops.
  • Systems Expertise: Deep proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) management, dashboarding, and opportunity workflow design.
  • Automation & AI: Practical experience using CS platforms (e.g., ChurnZero, Gong), AI tools, and automation engines to drive digital engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Commercial Acumen: Clear understanding of SaaS metrics (GRR, NRR), pricing strategies, contracting, and uplift structures.
  • Process Design: Proven track record of taking complex or ad-hoc workflows and structuring them into clear, repeatable, and scalable operating standards.
  • Customer-Facing Capability: Comfortable engaging directly with SMB and Tech Touch accounts for commercial renewal discussions and negotiations.
Compensation:
  • In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $85,000 - $102,000 USD and exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. In addition to your base salary, this position has an uncapped variable first-year target range of $15,000 - $18,000 USD.
