Key Responsibilities
  • Establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, conducting thorough assessments to evaluate suicidality and potential risks to self or others.
  • Facilitate the admission process for new patients with empathy, professionalism, and a welcoming demeanor, ensuring a smooth transition into care.
  • Engage in weekly treatment team meetings to communicate treatment goals, progress, and collaborate on patient care strategies.
  • Perform utilization reviews with insurance providers, providing necessary clinical documentation to secure authorizations for treatment.
  • Maintain timely communication with patients’ families, guaranteeing that all calls and emails are returned within two hours during business hours and within 24 hours at other times.
  • Coordinate with the Utilization Review and Business Departments to assist in authorization and payment processes, ensuring continuity of care upon patient admission, midpoint, and discharge.
  • Begin discharge planning from day one, completing discharge sessions to reinforce coping skills and transition plans, and confirm these plans with patients and families.
  • Manage crises effectively during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to both patients and milieu staff to maintain a high standard of clinical care.
  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is completed accurately and promptly, adhering to best practices throughout the treatment process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Sleep Better Healthcare Services, Inc., you will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of behavioral health challenges. Our clients seek support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns, among others. Your input will directly impact their recovery journey, helping individuals reclaim their lives and enhance their emotional well-being.

Qualifications
