Job description

Overview:

Greenberg & Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to support diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies at our healthcare provider facility in Los Angeles. This critical role ensures accurate data collection and patient safety during overnight studies. We are looking for a detail-oriented and credentialed sleep professional with experience in hospital-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform overnight sleep studies including diagnostic PSG, CPAP titration, and split-night studies
  • Set up and calibrate sleep monitoring equipment (EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, oximetry, airflow, respiratory effort, etc.)
  • Monitor patients throughout the night, recognizing and documenting significant events
  • Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation
  • Educate patients on procedures and provide a calming, professional experience
  • Adhere to all clinical, safety, and documentation standards set by the AASM
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Sleep Technology program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Polysomnography (PSG)
  • Valid certification from one of the following:
    • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - BRPT
    • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) - AASM
    • Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) - NBRC
  • Licensure with the Medical Board of California, if applicable to the assignment
  • CPR/BLS Certification (AHA)
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working within VA or federal healthcare settings
  • Excellent patient interaction and communication skills
