RPSGT Polysomnographic Technologist Job Responsibilities
  • Perform Sleep Studies:
    • Conduct overnight, daytime, and home-based sleep studies in compliance with established protocols.
    • Monitor and record sleep patterns, oxygen levels, and other physiological data using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Administer Therapeutic Interventions:
    • Initiate and manage CPAP, BiPAP, or other therapeutic modalities during studies.
    • Adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Evaluate and Analyze Data:
    • Score and interpret sleep study data according to AASM standards.
    • Prepare detailed reports for physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Educate and Support Patients:
    • Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families regarding sleep studies and treatments.
    • Address patient concerns and ensure a comfortable testing environment.
Requirements
  • Education, Licensure & Certifications:
    • Current RPSGT certification required.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Previous experience in a sleep lab or similar setting is preferred.
    • Proficiency with sleep study scoring and data analysis software.
