• Provide individualized psychotherapy to clients experiencing mental health issues related to substance abuse, using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to understand clients’ unique needs and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering lasting recovery.
• Administer therapeutic interventions that address co-occurring disorders and employ solution-focused techniques to guide clients toward their goals.
• Maintain up-to-date and compliant clinical documentation for all client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated care across various services and support systems.
• Educate clients and their families on coping strategies, community resources, and the nature of substance abuse to empower informed decision-making.
• Stay current with the latest research and advanced techniques in mental health treatment to improve the effectiveness of the care provided.
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring that each client's treatment goals are met while balancing individual therapeutic schedules.

In this role, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents who are confronting substance use disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds and may present with a range of co-occurring mental health challenges. By leveraging your expertise as an LCSW, you will engage with this diverse population and contribute to their overall improvement and recovery process through targeted therapeutic approaches.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience addressing substance abuse issues.
• Proficiency in solution-focused interventions and related therapeutic modalities.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills to work effectively within a treatment team.

While a minimum of two years in the field is required, we encourage applicants with additional experience in substance use recovery, trauma-informed care, or who have worked with specialized populations to apply. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will give you an edge in agility and efficiency.
