What Are Remote Pharma Jobs?

Remote pharma jobs include a variety of positions in the pharmaceutical industry that allow you to work from home or otherwise telecommute. Common titles include remote pharma sales specialist and remote clinical research associate. In this field, your duties and responsibilities vary depending on your role. You may help manage the sales of a pharmacological product, evaluate the results of a clinical trial, or process and submit paperwork on behalf of your company. Many remote pharma jobs have little to do with the medicine itself and more to do with the surrounding operations. This includes maintaining legal protections for a product, providing regulatory advice, and helping to sell the product.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you need a solid background in life sciences or pharmacy, strong sales acumen, and often a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with CRM software, virtual communication tools, and product-specific certifications is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to build rapport remotely make someone stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for effectively educating clients, meeting sales targets, and maintaining strong relationships in a highly regulated and competitive industry.

How does working as a remote pharma professional impact collaboration with cross-functional teams?

As a remote pharma professional, you will frequently collaborate with teams such as regulatory affairs, clinical development, sales, and medical affairs using digital communication tools. While virtual meetings and project management platforms make collaboration efficient, it can be challenging to maintain clear communication and alignment across time zones. Proactive scheduling, regular check-ins, and leveraging collaborative technology are essential for staying connected and ensuring project milestones are met. Many organizations provide structured onboarding and support to help remote employees integrate seamlessly with both local and global teams.

What is a Remote Pharma job?

A Remote Pharma job refers to a position in the pharmaceutical industry that allows employees to work from a location outside of a traditional office, often from home. These roles can include positions in regulatory affairs, medical writing, sales, clinical trial management, and pharmacovigilance, among others. Remote Pharma jobs leverage digital communication and project management tools to collaborate with team members and clients. Company Profile:
For over 40 years, CGS has empowered global enterprises, regional companies, and government agencies to achieve breakthrough performance through business applications, enterprise learning, and outsourcing services. Headquartered in New York City, with offices worldwide, CGS focuses on delivering comprehensive solutions that meet clients' complex, multi-dimensional challenges. Our latest venture, CGS Immersive, brings together cutting-edge technology and transformative learning experiences. We have created Cicero (AI platform), a revolutionary role-playing solution designed to supercharge workforce capabilities across sales, leadership, and customer support functions.

CGS Immersive:

We build Cicero, a world-leading AI roleplay and workforce productivity application that helps organizations practice the conversations that drive outcomes-so commercial, service, and customer-facing teams execute with confidence and consistency.

Role Overview:

We're hiring a senior, quota-carrying Individual Contributor to expand Cicero across pharma and MedTech business units in the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire sales process: from prospecting and discovery to crafting solutions and closing deals
  • Focus on selling to pharma and MedTech sectors (covering medicines and equipment), mainly targeting the business unit level
  • Engage in high-level discussions with Commercial/BU leaders, Operations teams, and other key decision-makers
  • Develop advocates, build multi-threaded account relationships, and ensure clear next steps are established
  • Leverage storytelling to highlight Cicero's value: define the problem, outline the cost, present the change, and celebrate the win
  • Travel about 25% within the USA and Canada for important meetings and critical points in the sales process

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven pharma/MedTech sales expertise (therapeutics/equipment)
  • Record of real wins within pharma/MedTech industry organizations
  • Skilled at selling to owners and senior leaders, not just L&D
  • Strong communicator and natural storyteller
  • High-performing IC mindset: ownership, urgency, consistency, resilience

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI, workforce transformation, learning, or enablement
