Urgent Freelance Opportunity: VP, Strategy (DTC Pharma)


Iโ€™m currently partnering with a boutique, independent healthcare advertising agency on a high-profile new business opportunity and weโ€™re looking for a senior freelance strategist to jump in immediately. This is a significant DTC healthcare pitch with an established client relationship already in place โ€” a rare opportunity to help shape a major piece of business alongside an incredibly strong creative and account team.


The ideal strategist:

  • Deeply experienced in DTC pharma/healthcare strategy
  • Primarily brand strategy-driven, but also understands engagement strategy
  • Fluent in TV-led omnichannel campaign development
  • Experience leading strategy for large-scale TV campaigns within healthcare/pharma
  • Strong understanding of patient engagement and community insight
  • Equally data-driven and emotionally compelling in storytelling
  • Comfortable operating at VP/SVP-level strategic thinking and collaboration
  • Big-thinking, fast-moving, highly collaborative, and hands-on


Engagement details:

  • Local to NYC (Hybrid collaboration with the team in-office weekly)
  • 1 month contract starting immediately with 40 hours/week
