Their responsibilities also include setting project goals, monitoring progress, allocating resources, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new drugs or therapies to market. Job description

Death is our only foe.
Blueprint was founded by Bryan Johnson, who has the world's best comprehensive biomarkers. He is quantitatively the healthiest person on the planet.
Blueprint is methodically built on science. Bryan freely shares his protocol, learnings and data with everyone to use. Blueprint has also developed a family of nutritional products to make the benefits of the Blueprint protocol affordable and available to all.
We're a small, tight-knit team working to clean up the global food supply, provide healthy food to everyone, and build Don't Die into the most influential ideology in the world. We move quickly, work efficiently, and enjoy an environment defined by competence.
The Research Manager owns the scientific evidence bar across Blueprint. This person decides what gets adopted, rejected, or monitored across protocols, products, supplements, devices, therapeutics, and ingredients - and defends those decisions with rigorous, structured reviews.
You will work across the company: with our concierge longevity practice to vet products and protocols, with our partnerships team to vet prospective collaborators, with our product R&D team to determine ingredients and formulations based on evidence, with our prescription longevity medicine team to select therapeutics, and with our biomarkers lab testing team to create optimized lab panels.
You'll work alongside our current research lead and set the evidence standard that critical decisions across the company calibrate to.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
  • Own the evidence bar for protocols, products, ingredients, and interventions across our businesses. Adopt, reject, or monitor each with a clear, defensible rationale.
  • Lead structured scientific reviews of new products, therapeutics, formulations, and protocols submitted by any team; provide written justification and risk assessment.
  • Partner with business development, operations, product, and clinical team members to prioritize research, balance company-wide demand, and finalize clinical sign-off.
  • Define and continuously raise the scientific standards of our actively developed AI research engine and calibrate the engine's scores against your reviews.
  • Stay current on longevity, metabolic health, pharma, women's health, nutrition science, diagnostics, and home-health literature; flag emerging evidence that should change our recommendations.
  • Mentor team members across our businesses on how to read evidence and communicate it in accessible language.

Basic Qualifications:
  • PhD (or MD/PhD) in a relevant biomedical, clinical, or life sciences field.
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating clinical and pre-clinical evidence (academic, industry, or clinical research).
  • Demonstrated ability to make and defend adopt/reject decisions on therapeutics, supplements, ingredients, or medical devices.
  • Strong written communication - can produce concise, structured evidence reviews that non-scientists can act on.
  • Comfortable working at startup speed with high autonomy, direct exposure to founders, and demand from multiple teams simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:
  • Background in longevity, metabolic health, women's health, nutrition science, supplement or food formulation, diagnostics, or pharma R&D.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted research tools and how to calibrate them against expert judgment.
  • Clinical practice exposure or close partnership with practicing physicians.
  • Experience operating as a horizontal scientific function supporting multiple business units.
  • Published peer-reviewed work in a relevant domain.
