This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Facility Management and Construction in Reston, Virginia.
This position is located in the Office of Facilities, Property and Safety Management, Branch of Real Property and Leasing. Provides acquisition and management in the administration of Federally owned, Indian owned, leased or consigned space or property and disposal oversight.

As Realty Specialist, GS-1170, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to:
  • Performs as a fully warranted and Lease Contracting Officer (LCO) with responsibility for all functional areas of real property, real estate leasing, and lease administration management.
  • Assists in the development of policies, directives, and guidance for use, on the use and management of Government leased buildings and facilities throughout the United States.
  • Evaluates, reviews, and interprets real property objectives and maintains compliance and quality assurance and in preparation of Annual Budget Space Management initiatives.
  • Administers with lease acquisition policy, management, and oversight activities from initiation to close out, and provide agency-wide budget support for the leasing program.
  • Ensures agency-wide databases meet real property and real property leasing asset management procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Reviews requests for lease renewals, revocable licenses, use permits, and other land and space agreements to assure program and statutory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level that equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: Process and adheres to procedures relating to Federal real property leasing procurement of both Direct and General Service Administration Occupancy Agreements. Administers federal lease policy, documentation and management in accordance with federal acquisition and long-term lease budget planning; and federal lease accountability, tracking and reporting.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
