Job description

Point Management LLC

Leasing Consultant

Full-Time  •  Roanoke, VA  •  Entry Level / Recent Grads Welcome

About the Role

Are you the kind of person who walks into a challenge and immediately starts thinking about how to solve it? Do you light up talking to people, and does a busy day energize you more than it drains you? If so, we want to hear from you.

Point Management is a growing residential property management company, and we're looking for a Leasing Consultant who's hungry to build a career in real estate from the ground up. This isn't a sit-and-wait role — you'll be front and center: connecting with prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process, and helping us keep our communities full and thriving.

You'll report to the Property Manager and work alongside a collaborative leasing team. We use AppFolio to manage everything from applications to lease tracking, and we'll train you on it. More importantly, we'll invest in you — this role is a direct pathway to Property Manager for the right person.

What You'll Do

•     Be the first impression: engage with prospective tenants, answer questions, and build genuine connections that make people feel at home before they sign a lease

•     Guide applicants through the process — from application to approval — with accuracy and speed

•     Prepare and review lease agreements in line with company policy, with close attention to detail

•     Keep current residents happy by responding to inquiries and following up proactively

•     Use AppFolio to track leads, applications, leases, and tenant data

•     Collaborate with teammates to hit occupancy targets and push performance forward

•     Travel between properties as needed for showings, move-ins, and inspections

Who You Are

•     A self-starter — you don't wait to be told what to do next

•     Energized by people and conversations, not worn down by them

•     Someone who faces a curveball with a calm head and a can-do attitude

•     Organized and detail-oriented — you catch the small stuff before it becomes a big deal

•     A strong communicator, both in person and in writing

•     Comfortable figuring things out: new tools, new situations, new challenges

Qualifications

We're hiring for attitude and potential. Here's what we're looking for:

•     Recent college graduate or equivalent experience — a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is a plus

•     Customer-facing experience of any kind: retail, hospitality, sales, or similar

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills

•     Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new software (AppFolio experience is a bonus, not a requirement)

•     Valid driver's license for travel between properties

•     Real Estate License is a plus — or willingness to obtain one

What We Offer

•     A clear path to grow into a Property Manager role

•     Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals

•     A tight-knit team where your contributions are noticed and valued

•     Competitive compensation commensurate with experience

Point Management LLC is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
