  • You will manage or assist in managing complex projects to support the implementation and acquisition of a variety of IT systems, products and/or services for the Marine Corps/DON/DoD.
  • You will consult with customers to identify and specify requirements as well as defining system scope and objectives.
  • You will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
  • You will serve as an expert under the oversight of the lead IT specialist or engineer, assisting and ensuring IT requirements are met.
  • You will provide support and environments for all levels of testing, including acceptance, beta, unit, and quality assurance.
  • You will formulate, recommend, and implement configuration policies and procedures related to your project(s).

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 641 level Basic within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
2. Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (laaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
3. Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.
4. Knowledge of how system components are installed, integrated, and optimized.
5. Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., public key infrastructure [PKI])
6. Conduct risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document and
refine functional requirements and specification.
